SMB Moms’ Night Out, The Current “Bells”, and Nursery Progress

August 4, 2010

Last week I went to a great event put on by Scottsdale Moms Blog. It was great to connect and reconnect with lots of ladies who are just ahead of me in this whole having kids thing…

The event was hosted by 2 adorable small businesses in Scottsdale:

Chez Vous– a little french café with delicious crepes!

Moonbeams– a dangerously cute baby boutique!

Now…the “bells” pic from last week…

Harley wanted to get in on the action…

Lastly, we’re starting to gather ideas and pieces for the nursery. At the moment it looks like a paint store exploded on one wall…we’ve got so many color ideas going, but I think we’re honing in on a final decision!

Last weekend we picked up a cool antique dresser at Lizabel’s Treasures for a good deal. It had a vanity mirror on top, but we removed it and we’re gonna make a changing table top for it. We’ll be putting out carpentry skills to the test…

Here’s a quick shot of the dresser we got (and a Home Goods art piece we both like)…

Any thoughts?

I love the art piece and the dresser!

This might be totally out of your color preference, but my first thought when I saw the art piece was that the green color in the background of the pug square would be really nice on the walls and go great with the dresser… Just a thought! :)

I AM a huge fan of green. We just decked our living room out with a bunch of grassy green curtains… :)
I think at this point we’re leaning towards (the oh-so-original color for a boy’s room) blue…
